A forum for professional exchange
At the opening ceremony, Professor Pham Nhu Hiep, Director of Hue Central Hospital, said that over six editions the meeting had become a scientific forum for connecting specialists, updating new advances and supporting the transfer of ophthalmic techniques into clinical practice in Vietnam.
According to the organisers, ICEM 2026 featured 10 focused scientific sessions on modern ophthalmic surgery, cataract treatment, refractive care and clinical practice. It also offered younger ophthalmologists an opportunity to engage with new advances and strengthen their surgical skills.
